Dee watched the movie 'The Way', staring Marten Sheen and Emilio Estevez and immediately called Wendy and told her to watch it. This was followed by a phone call from Wendy to me (Brenda ) and the rest, as they say, is history.
Dee is going to be our rock on this journey. She was a travel agent and is a great planning with lots of common sense. I'm pretty excited as normally I am a control freak planner and I feel very safe with Dee. We see lots of things the same , but enough different that we have all the bases covered. Dee has travelled lots and has actually been to Spain.
This Christmas, I realized that I had only really seen Dee on six different occasions. But... As the sister of my sister, she is my sister. I love Dee's dry sense of humour which I know will have us in stitches the whole time. I feel like we have known each other forever and can't wait to spend time with her.
I admire that Dee has been training on her own for this trip. Wendy and I have had each other to motivate each other. Dee is self motivated and strong. What great qualities in a team member!! She is leaving her daughter Kiel behind to study at UBC and to design our Camino tattoo!
So... Dee has another talent that I learned about last night. As I mentioned, before, there will probably be a lot of singing on this trip. Well, Dee sent some new words to a song last night. You can tell this is all that we think about right now!
