Destination - Los Arcos
Distance - 22 km
Hours of walking - Five and half
Terrain - very natural, little pavement, very much like Montana
Weather - perfect - sunny with a cool breeze
Nature - we see more plants than animals - olive trees, peach trees
Misadventure - I once knew a woman who inhaled a wasp
After a night of purging our packs for things we have not used yet to lessen our load, We opted to send our packs to Los Arcos via the luggage taxi. Wow! How light and springy our step is without the packs.
Many on the Camino are travelling for an adventure or personal spiritual reasons. Then you are reminded of the ancient religious aspect of the journey. For a few days now, we have been seeing a religious group from Lituania. They carry a wooden cross on their backs, a statue of Mary and flags and pictures. It is a moving site. This morning, we were travelling close behind them out of Estella and we met a group of school children approximately 12 years old that were waiting for them. They cheered and high fives us all 'Bravo!' 'Buen Camino!' 'Keep Going!' They were so excited and energetic. It was an energizing way to start the day.
Shortly after, we came to the free red wine tap were we had to spend some time.
We had the most enjoyable hike today. The landscape was so picturesque. Photos do not do it justice (at least mine!)
Oh those feet
The Camino gives, but with everything it must also change. Our Irish friends with whom we have shared many laughs are returning home tomorrow. Thanks Irish for making our trip rich with joy and laughter.
Cheer of the day from Wendy - after not seeing our German friends for a few days, as we came over a hill... There they were. That was a great moment and we were able to spend two more great meals with our Orrison roommates.
Buen Camino!

Beautiful trails again and free wine! You are meeting wonderful people and of course the 3C will be a positive memory for them too. Your path ahead holds many more memories. Looking forward to the next blog. SALUTE Alexis
